You may have seen pictures of this in progress over the past year, and now the work is finally finished. Begun at the the Illustration Master Class last June as a demonstration in portraiture and lighting, this is yet another of my ventures into the theme of Middle-earth. Gandalf reveals to Frodo that the quiet magic ring he holds is actually The One Ring which will bring shadow and suffering to all of Middle-earth unless it is destroyed.
From the depths of Mordor (represented by the fire place) to the green pastures of the Shire (with Sam's head glimpsed through the window) there is nowhere to hide from the power of the Ring...

I think it's a cool take on Frodo. You really brought the feeling of Gandalf through as well. Nice piece!
