I have just finished this painting of Joan of Arc in time for exhibition at IlluxCon next weekend, November 8-10. The image was begun as a demonstration a couple of years ago at the Society of Illustrators on how to paint reflective objects and portraits. I had an outstanding model and friend to model for Joan, Irene Gallo, the head Art Director at Tor Books! Thanks again Irene for making this all possible!
Well, you certainly did a fantastic job on the reflections, especially considering the setting that you put her in. Shiny metal seems like one of the most complicating things to paint!
